Once again the title of 'Person who works for oceanseventy and takes a picture of something good based on a subject set by someone else who also works for oceanseventy' goes to one of the newcomers here to the office - Lyndsay.

Other pics that did well - but not well enough in the vote were...

The Difference is Clear

Clear Dubai - Investments

As part of our development of the new site for global investment firm, Clear U.A.E. we've launched a holding page to allow real estate professionals and investors to get information about the latest property development opportunities in the U.A.E.

We're working, for the first time, with the U.K's leading property PR and marketing consultancy, Halogen, who are helping with the launch of the business and integrating our creative knowledge into the overall marketing mix.

The Olympian Experience

Following our design of the current Olympian holding page, we have designed a 'customer mailing card' and an 'In-stock ticket' for use within their 3 stores across Scotland.

The mailing card which holds the slogan 'Let's Stay in Touch' is to welcome new and existing customers to become part of the Olympian Experience. Olympian are proud to offer the very best deals on furniture and accessories sourced from around the world.

Both our A5 Mailing card and our In-stock ticket were printed on James McNaughton, Take 2 offset, white, 300gsm. This stock is made from 100% recyled fibres sourced only from post consumer waste. This stock was chosen to correspond with Olympian's values of using pure and natural materials.

And the winner is...

We have completed, a suite of items for our client Scottish Enterprise to accompany their annual Proof of Concept Awards 2008 event.

The Proof of Concept Awards allows Creative Students to Showcase their innovative ideas and designs. The industry sectors include Chemicals and Food & Drink, Consruction, Life Sciences and Software.

Students are brought together from various universities across Scotland including, University of Strathclyde, University of Aberdeen, Heriot Watt University and the University of Dundee to compete for the Proof of Concept Award and the opportunity to develop their concept in industry.

Jack Perry, Chief Executive of Scottish Enterprise says 'this programme is a unique Scottish initiative which makes the important step between initial scientific discovery and first protoype easier for Scottish researchers'.

FACT. Since the Programme was created in 1999, 206 projects have been supported creating over 500 new jobs, 40 spin-out and start-up companies, 38 licensing deals and leveraging over £210 million of public and private investment which would not otherwise have happened in Scotland.

The best thing before sliced bread...

Sitting in traffic recently, I appreciated the slogan on this Carr's flour truck.

oceanseventy photo challenge: Doors

Up by Greyfriers Bobby by Andy Bright

In a daring attempt to get our juices flowing Alex recently came up with the idea of introducing a weekly photographic challenge among us oceanseventy folk.  Every week a different subject will be set and everyone has to figure out ow to interpret it and come up with a decent photograph.

The initial challenge was 'Doors' which was won by our recent recruit Andy.  Thats his winning entry up there at the start of this article.

As winner of the challenge Andy got to set the subject for next week - Shape.  I have no idea what i'm going to produce for that one... damn you Andy.
